  • Tight supply items: Green Beans, premium Green Bells, Pickles, Shishitos, Habanero, and Caribe Peppers.

Regional Transitions & Weather Impact:

  • West Coast transition underway, with initial harvesting in Coachella (peppers, corn, beans).

  • Yuma experiencing heat stress: affecting quality with insect pressure and crop fatigue.

  • Salinas is receiving most growers; weather favorable and outlook positive.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

 

  • Avocados: Limited Mexico harvest due to Holy Week; high demand for small/medium sizes for Cinco de Mayo. California supplying well.

  • Spinach slightly impacted by heat; Endive, Escarole, Parsley remain tight in supply.

  • Fennel still escalated but improving; Cilantro is stable.

  • Bok Choy, Napa, Leeks remain in critical condition due to pests and weather.

  • Brussel Sprouts: Severe supply drop; market alert issued. Shortages expected for at least a week.

  • Offshore Grapes: Quality and supply stable; Mexico starts within 2 weeks.
